Chandigarh [India], September 29:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> In a decisive step to shape the future of urban development and infrastructure, the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI)- Chandigarh Chapter organized its flagship forum, \u201cInfraCon 2025\u201d at Chandigarh. The high-level event gathered an eminent mix of policymakers, real estate leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to deliberate on sustainable growth, cutting-edge technology, and financing models for large-scale infrastructure. Against the backdrop of India\u2019s rapid urbanization and growing global competitiveness, the seminar offered a critical platform to share ideas, challenges, and strategies to reimagine infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Shri Aman Arora, Hon\u2019ble Minister of Information & Public Relations, New & Renewable Energy Sources, and Housing & Urban Development, Government of Punjab graced the event as the esteemed Chief Guest. Shri Arora noted, \u201cFuture-ready infrastructure must combine ecological balance with modern technology. The Guest of Honor for the day, Ms. Harpreet Kaur Babla, Hon\u2019ble Mayor of Chandigarh highlighted Chandigarh\u2019s legacy as a model of planned development. \u201cCities must provide not just clean water, energy, sanitation, and healthcare, but also spaces that foster creativity, participation, and well-being. Chandigarh, as India\u2019s first planned city, has both the privilege and responsibility to set new benchmarks where modern infrastructure and human-centered growth go hand in hand,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Keynote Speaker for the event Shri Parneet Sachdev, Hon\u2019ble Chairman, HRERA Panchkula, emphasized the importance of robust regulatory frameworks. \u201cHRERA is taking the lead in integrating Artificial Intelligence into our operations,\u201d said Mr. Sachdev, highlighting how technology can enhance transparency and efficiency in real estate governance.<\/p>\n

Mr. Deepak Shukla, Regional President, BRICS CCI (Chandigarh Chapter) outlined Chandigarh\u2019s evolving role as a hub for trade, policy, and innovation. \u201cThe vision behind this conference was not just to host another event but to create a space where ideas could meet action, and where conversations could turn into partnerships.,\u201d said Mr. Shukla.<\/p>\n

Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS CCI, highlighted the Chamber\u2019s role in fostering long-term infrastructure dialogue. \u201cBRICS countries have a unique opportunity to learn from one another. By sharing experiences, successes, and lessons in infrastructure, urban planning, and real estate, we can accelerate progress, adopt best practices, and avoid repeating mistakes,\u201d remarked Mr. Shastri.<\/p>\n

Adding momentum to the forum, Mr. Prann Sharma, President, BRICS CCI Healthcare Vertical; Executive Director \u2013 Strategy, BRICS CCI & President, Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhawan, delivered Special Remarks, emphasizing sustainable urban growth. He proposed a simple pledge: \u201cOne Tree, One Unit.\u201d For every housing or infrastructure unit developed, a tree will be planted, fostering greener, healthier cities and reminding us to balance growth with nature.\u201d said Mr. Sharma.<\/p>\n

The forum featured two engaging panel discussions and a fireside chat, bringing together industry experts and thought leaders to explore the future of infrastructure and urban living.
